Ralph Shayne

Ralph Shayne, Chief Financial Officer at Spaulding Ridge, has deep expertise in operating high-growth businesses across multiple industry sectors, including SaaS, technology and financial services. His entrepreneurial experience includes scaling multiple companies from launch through liquidity while partnered with private equity investors.  

At Spaulding Ridge, Ralph is responsible for overseeing financial operations, corporate development, legal and IT while also advising the executive team on overall company strategy. His experience includes helping companies grow by developing leadership teams, mapping out strategic capital raising options, building data analytics capabilities, identifying synergistic M&A opportunities, and leveraging technology. 

Ralph believes in making technology understandable and accessible, and created a class at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business designed for MBAs to improve their technology literacy. He is also the author of Hour of Need, an award-winning graphic novel about his family’s experience in Denmark during the Holocaust.
